Michael Embry is the author of three nonfiction basketball books, five novels and a short-story collection. His previous young adult novel for Wings ePress was Shooting Star. Embry’s career includes more than 30 years in journalism as a reporter, sportswriter, and editor. He’s a member of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association, National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association and serves on the selection committee of the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame. He’s on the executive board of the Kentucky Book Fair. Embry, who is listed in Who’s Who in America, lives in Frankfort, Ky., with his wife, Mary, and Chorkie, Bailey.
